Green Wave News · Press Box at Green Wave Stadium Named for Rob Hosier

On September 15, 2017, Gallatin High School had the privilege of naming the Press Box at Green Wave Stadium in honor of Green Wave legend Rob Hosier. Mr. Hosier came to Gallatin High School in 1973 and became the Voice of Green Wave Football  in 1975 and Basketball in 1974.

He has served as the public address announcer for both sports for over 40 years, long ago becoming a fixture of Friday nights at the Wave Yard and in the GHS gymnasium on game nights.

The contributions by Rob Hosier to Green Wave history are many and this honor is a well-deserved recognition of his meaning to Gallatin High School and Green Wave Athletics.

He has been a part of three state championships in football, three runners up in football, two girls’ basketball state championships, and one state runner up in boys’ basketball.

Throughout his over forty-year dedication to Green Wave Athletics, he has remained humble and has maintained a low public profile, but the whole time being a key part of Green Wave Pride and contributing greatly to the success of Gallatin High School, his adopted home.

In cooperation with the Gallatin Quarterback Club, Gallatin High School is proud to officially name our press box Rob Hosier Press Box.

Mr. Hosier is respected by members of the Gallatin community, by former athletes and students, and by sports fans for schools throughout Tennessee.

The Plaque that was presented to him by Gallatin High School Principal Dr. Ron Becker read:
