Mickey Armstrong, Assistant AD (Educational Programs, Community Relations, Spring Sports)

Coach Mickey Armstrong has been Head Golf Coach for the Green Wave and Lady Wave since 2012. He is a 2004 graduate of Gallatin High School where he was a 3-sport athlete playing golf, bowling, and baseball.

In the Fall of 2004, Coach Armstrong continued his athletic career on a golf scholarship to Union University. He received NAIA Academic Honors in 2007. In the Spring of 2008, he graduated receiving the Academic Award of Excellence.

Coach Armstrong returned to Gallatin High School in the Fall of 2008 where he was hired as a Vocational Assistant, and began his coaching career as the Freshmen baseball coach. Over the next 2 years he completed his Masters in Education through Cumberland University and was hired in the spring of 2010 as a Special Education teacher at GHS. In the Fall of 2012 Coach Armstrong accepted the position as Head Boys and Girls Golf coach.

Coach Armstrong also serves as Assistant Athletic Director for the Green Wave Athletic Department, focusing on Educational Programs for Green Wave student-athletes, Community Relations, and Spring Sports.

Coach Armstrong is married to Whitney Armstrong and they have two children, Eva and Zeke. They are members of First Baptist Church in Gallatin.









Jamie Ricaud, Assistant AD (Nutritional Coach, Recruiting Adviser, Winter Sports)

Mrs. Ricaud joined the Gallatin High School Math Department in 2016 after moving to the area from California. Mrs. Ricaud joined the Green Wave Athletics Department in 2018 with responsibilities over Student-Athlete Nutritional Education, College Recruiting Advisement, and Winter Sports.

As a high school student, Mrs. Ricaud was a Cross Country and distant event runner in Track and Field. She continued her athletic career as a Cross Country runner at the University of California, Riverside. After graduating from college, Mrs. Ricaud began work at Norco High School and taught all levels of Math for 19 years and coached Cross Country and Track & Field for 17 years. During her time coaching at Norco, she was able to work with many gifted athletes, including Cady Villareal, who won an individual California State Championship in Cross Country. Cady continued her college career at California State University, San Marcos, winning three national titles in distance running events. She was also able to work with other gifted athletes who went on to have success in the professional realm – NFL: Jordan Campbell, Toby Gerhart, Garth Gerhart, Damion Stafford, Carl Bradford; MLB – Matt Hobgood, Jake Romanski, and Josh Romanski.

She continues to run competitively in distance events, earning Personal Records of 19:05 in the 5k, 40:24 in the 10k, and 1:42.00 in the half-marathon. She is married to Phil Ricaud, and they have two children, Kayla and Ben.
