Chelsea Morris came to Gallatin High School in January 2018, employed by BodyGuard Sports Medicine at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification and holds Tennessee Licensure of Practice for Athletic Training through the State of Tennessee Department of Health. Morris is also a certified instructor for the American Red Cross.
Morris received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from Tusculum College in May 2011. During her undergraduate education, she had athletic training experience with competitive Cheerleading and Dance competitions and camps with Varsity Spirit Corporation. She also had a month long internship with Action Sports Medicine Foundation where she assisted coverage with the Winter AM Motocross Series in Jacksonville, Florida.
After completion of her undergraduate degree, Morris attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA and obtained a Masters of Science in Athletic Training in May 2013. Morris served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville, IA and volunteered athletic training services for the University of Northern Iowa Cheerleading and Dance squads. Morris also provided coverage to various Rodeo events across the state of Iowa and worked with tournaments for USA National Wrestling.
Morris began her full-time athletic training career in Lenoir, NC, in 2013. While at Hibriten High School, Morris was a part of all athletic teams and in charge of the medical care for nearly 300 student-athletes. She was a part of many successful athletic teams while at Hibriten, including the 2017 North Carolina Football State championship team.
