The Lady Wave couldn’t overcome an 11 minute drought that started in the 2nd quarter and ran through halftime into the second half. Down 21-15 at the 7:20 mark of the 2nd quarter GHS went scoreless until the 5:40 mark of the 3rd quarter but by then trailed Wilson Central 38-17. The Lady Wave was led by Jo’Neca Talley who had 14 points, Jeremia Montgomery with 6, Talor Crenshaw added 4 points, Autumn Pincock and Janaya Newsom scored 3 points each, and Emma Donley finished with 2 points. Gallatin’s lone senior, Makayla Wright finished with 7 points on the night. Coach Landers’ stated, “Makayla is a tremendous leader and competitor. She has always put her teammates first and gives everything she has to make us better. It has been an honor to be her Head Coach for the past two years. Her attitude, effort, and desire will help lead her to success as she moves on to the next phase of her life. She will be greatly missed!”
